Different from sine wave operation, our explosion proof inverter duty motors are designed to be used together with an inverter. A VFD-driven general purpose motor can overheat if it is run too slowly. Explosion proof inverter duty motors take heat and voltage spike into consideration. They can supply enough power without their insulation failing, and at the same time, to avoid overheating and to withstand higher voltage spikes.
These explosion proof inverter duty motors bring additional cost, but also bring increased performance. The additional cost is worth it if greater performance are necessary.
